Fast-Growing Beverage Manufacturer Transforms Financial Reporting & Planning with OneStream
Learn how AIT, a WilliamsMarston Company, helped a fast‑growing, family‑owned beverage manufacturer replace manual Excel‑based processes with a unified financial reporting and planning platform to deliver accurate, real‑time insights across products, customers, and operations.
The Challenge
The existing environment presented several obstacles that hindered financial accuracy, speed, and insight.
Financial reporting relied heavily on large Excel files that manually pulled data from multiple ERP and CPM sources, increasing the risk of errors, limiting governance, and slowing close and reporting cycles. The incumbent CPM solution, Prophix, lacked the automation, drill‑down functionality, and flexibility required to support driver‑based planning for a dynamic, product‑centric business.
Planning cycles were particularly resource‑intensive, requiring days of preparation due to manual data handling, complex spreadsheets, and limited system integration. As growth accelerated, leadership needed a modern platform that could unify financial and operational data, support detailed planning across the organization, and provide accurate, real‑time insight into performance.
The Solution
AIT designed and implemented a comprehensive OneStream solution that unified the company’s financial and operational processes while enabling scalable reporting and planning capabilities.
OneStream was deployed as a single source of truth to support consolidations, management and external reporting, cash flow reporting, sales and operational planning, capital planning, and workforce planning.
The solution automated the ingestion of actuals from Databricks and standardized data mapping to ensure that future ERP or system changes could be accommodated seamlessly. AIT delivered flexible, driver‑based planning models tailored to the organization’s operational complexity, including sales and volume planning by customer, SKU, and site, as well as capital and workforce planning.
Enhanced drill‑down capabilities allowed finance and operations teams to analyze performance by product, customer, site, and cost center, representing a significant improvement over spreadsheet‑based analytics. Consolidated financial statements, including cash flow reporting, were fully automated, eliminating manual preparation and freeing the finance team to focus on value‑added analysis and decision support.
OneStream Solutions Delivered
Consolidations & Reporting, Cash Flow, Sales and Operational Planning, Capital Planning, People Planning, and AIT Accelerators
Consolidations & Reporting, Cash Flow, Sales and Operational Planning, Capital Planning, People Planning, and AIT Accelerators
The Result
Following the OneStream implementation, the beverage manufacturer achieved significant and measurable improvements in processing and decision making.
S&OP processing time was dramatically reduced, accelerating by approximately 143x – from 12 hours to just 5 minutes – representing a 99.3% reduction. This improvement gave Finance faster and more reliable access to both financial and operational data, significantly enhancing reporting accuracy and increasing confidence in forecasts.
With manual consolidation and spreadsheet management eliminated, the finance team was able to shift its focus from tactical data processing to strategic decision‑making. Real‑time insights across products, customers, and locations now support more informed planning, while a scalable financial platform provides a strong foundation for continued growth and future system integrations.
