WilliamsMarston Announces Director and Manager Promotions

Boston, MA — WilliamsMarston LLC (“WM”), a nationally recognized leading provider of accounting, tax and valuation advisory today announced the promotions of Christine Miecuna, Christopher Cobb, and Michael Mastrocola to Director and Caroline Thomas and Emily Stevenson to Manager, effective July 1, 2021. All five professionals are based in the firm’s Boston office.

Ms. Miecuna joined WilliamsMarston in 2021 from PwC’s Assurance practice. Since joining WilliamsMarston, she has advised clients in the life science, software, gaming and technology industries. Her expertise includes revenue recognition, lease accounting, SOX compliance and SEC reporting. She also assists clients with Interim Management, audit preparedness, public company readiness, process and control improvement and the implementation of internal controls, policies and procedures. While at PwC, Ms. Miecuna assisted clients in the retail, consumer and industrial products, industries. Ms. Miecuna holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting and Marketing from Boston College.

Mr. Cobb joined WilliamsMarston in 2017 from HarbourVest Partners, LLC. Since joining WilliamsMarston, Mr. Cobb has advised clients in the software, manufacturing, and biotechnology industries on a variety of accounting matters including revenue recognition, SEC reporting, due diligence, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, consolidations, audit preparedness and business process improvement. He also served as an interim manager of financial planning and analysis for a public technology company as well as an interim controller for a global software and services company. Prior to HarbourVest, Mr. Cobb worked in PwC’s Assurance practice focusing on clients in the hedge fund and private equity industries. Mr. Cobb holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting as well as a Master of Science in Accounting from Boston College.

Mr. Mastrocola joined WilliamsMarston in 2021 from PwC’s Assurance practice. Since joining WilliamsMarston, Mr. Mastrocola has advised clients on an initial public offering, a SPAC transaction, IPO readiness, and various complex technical accounting matters including goodwill/intangible assets, film cost accounting under ASC 926, asset impairment, segment reporting, foreign currency, and SEC compliance. Mr. Mastrocola has served in an interim management capacity for a publicly traded company. He has also assisted clients with accelerating their close process and led them through accounting process implementation and improvement. While at PwC, Mr. Mastrocola assisted clients in the retail, consumer and industrial products, industries including one of the firm’s largest retail clients. Mr. Mastrocola holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Accounting from Holy Cross, where he graduated summa cum laude.

Ms. Thomas joined WilliamsMarston in 2017 from Deloitte’s Audit practice. Since joining WilliamsMarston, she has assisted clients with audit readiness including a variety of technical accounting matters such as lease accounting, purchase accounting and stock-based compensation. She also assisted with the implementation of the new revenue recognition standard under ASC 606 at multiple companies across both the software industry and the life sciences industry. Ms. Thomas both holds a Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame.

Ms. Stevenson joined WilliamsMarston in 2019 from Deloitte’s Audit practice. Since joining WilliamsMarston, she has assisted clients with a variety of technical accounting matters including revenue recognition under ASC 606, purchase accounting, stock-based compensation and accounting for financial instruments including convertible debt. She also has played a key role in audit preparedness, IPO readiness, due diligence, and carve-out engagements. Ms. Stevenson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Mathematics from the College of the Holy Cross, where she graduated summa cum laude.
