Building on your solid public accounting experience, you will work closely with talented colleagues and our clients’ management, auditors, and advisors to implement best practices and solve their most pressing financial reporting challenges – accelerating your own career in the process. In this role, you will:
- Lead engagements advising market-leading clients on complex mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, initial public offering readiness, interim management, and various technical accounting matters
- Review of financial statements and other SEC filings
- Develop financial models, forecasts, and related analyses
- Oversee the design and implementation of business process improvement initiatives
- Serve as a liaison between client senior management and their auditors
- Manage existing client relationships and pursue new client opportunities
- Manage WM staff/team in the field and provide feedback and guidance to ensure timely and efficient client work and product delivery
- Participate in various strategic initiatives to facilitate the continued growth of the Firm and assist with recruiting
- Serve as a subject matter expert in several chosen areas – such as business combinations, revenue recognition, and stock-based compensation
The Candidate
Highly motivated and well-rounded leader committed to contributing to the future growth and success of the firm. Ideal candidates will possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting; advanced degree preferred (CPA or MBA)
- 8+ years of public accounting, auditing, and/or accounting advisory experience
- Strong technical skills and expert knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Extensive experience in project management and ability to manage multiple client engagements and demands simultaneously
- Entrepreneurial spirit and drive
- Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight travel
- Team oriented with strong desire to contribute to the growth and success of the firm
