Partner – Accounting Advisory

Stephan is a relationship-driven executive who brings over 20 years of accounting and financial reporting experience across the U.S., Europe, and globally to WilliamsMarston. His broad industry experience includes life sciences, healthcare, automotive, manufacturing, consumer products, and retail.

Prior to joining WilliamsMarston, Stephan was a Partner in the Financial Accounting Advisory practice at Ernst & Young LLP in Chicago, where he served as EY’s Central Region Financial Accounting Advisory Services Leader for Life Sciences & Healthcare. Stephan advised Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies, private equity-owned, and privately held organizations, serving as a trusted advisor on complex accounting matters, transaction accounting, GAAP conversions, accounting change, IFRS, revenue recognition, and finance transformation. He frequently represented EY as a speaker at client and industry events and as a guest speaker at the Kelley School of Business in Indiana.

Stephan holds a Diplom-Ökonom (equivalent to a Master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration) from Ruhr University Bochum. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), German Certified Public Accountant (Wirtschaftsprüfer), and German Certified Tax Advisor (Steuerberater). Stephan is fluent in English and German.
