Managing Director – Transaction Advisory

Russ brings 12 years of accounting and advisory experience to WilliamsMarston.

Prior to WilliamsMarston, Russ was a Director in BDO USA LLP’s Transaction Advisory Services practice where he provided financial due diligence services to both private equity and corporate clients with deal values ranging from $5 million to $1 billion. Prior to BDO USA, Russ worked at EY LLP in South Africa within the firm’s retail & consumer products group of the Assurance practice.

Russ’s financial due diligence experience includes full enterprise acquisitions and dispositions, minority investments, carve-out transactions and recapitalizations.  He works with financial and strategic buyers, sellers and lenders with a focus on quality of earnings, free-cash flow, working capital trends, indebtedness, potential synergies and negotiation opportunities. He has transaction experience across multiple industries, including manufacturing & distribution, software & technology, professional services, restaurant chains, third-party administrators and insurance brokers.

Russ is a certified chartered accountant in South Africa and holds both a bachelor’s degree and post-graduate degree from the University of the Witwatersrand with a concentration in accounting and finance.
