Manager – Accounting Advisory

Matt brings five years of accounting and reporting experience to WilliamsMarston. Since joining WilliamsMarston, he has advised clients on a variety of technical accounting matters including lease accounting, debt and equity financing, stock-based compensation, earnings per share, SOX and SEC reporting, pro-forma reporting for business combinations and IPO filings, and revenue recognition. Matt has served clients in the biotechnology, life sciences, pharmaceutical, and aerospace technology industries. He has also served as an interim senior accountant for a public pharmaceutical company.

Prior to WilliamsMarston, Matt held various roles of increasing responsibility in the assurance practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. While at PwC, Matt’s clients included both public and private companies in the in the medical device technology, aerospace & defense, and media & entertainment industries. This included team management and complex corporate accounting projects for one of PwC’s most profitable and highest profile clients. He provided assurance services pertaining to US GAAP, SEC reporting, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. He also assisted clients on a variety of technical accounting matters including inventory accounting, complex earnings per share methodology and calculation, point in time and overtime revenue recognition and pension reporting. 

Matt is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with concentrations in Accounting and Finance from Boston College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
