Kyle Landers
Partner – Valuation
Kyle is an expert in the valuation of businesses, intangible assets and financial instruments for financial reporting and tax purposes.
He has experience providing transaction based valuation services for the purposes of purchase price allocations, asset impairments, stock-based compensation, pre-deal valuation advisory services, bankruptcy reorganizations, REIT conversions and transaction tax structuring. He has also provided valuation services for the purposes of gift and estate tax, litigation support, fairness opinions and solvency opinions.
He has an expert knowledge of the US GAAP and SEC accounting guidance related to purchase accounting, asset valuation, and impairment testing. He has extensive knowledge of the US Internal Revenue Code related to tax reorganizations and other transaction based tax issues.
Since 1997, Kyle has provided valuation consulting services to a broad range of public and private companies across multiple industries, including industrial products, manufacturing, technology, retail & consumer, metals, biotechnology, telecommunications, airlines, financial services, health care, insurance, investments, oil & gas, media, restaurants, agriculture, real estate, private equity and trucking.
Prior to joining HDH in 2016, Kyle was a Deals Director in the Atlanta Transaction Services group of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP for nine years. Prior to joining PwC, Kyle spent six years in the Atlanta Financial Valuation Group of American Appraisal Associates, four years at Adams Capital (an Atlanta, GA valuation firm) and five years as an asset manager at Creative Financial Group (now part of Synovus).
Kyle is an Accredited Senior Appraiser through the American Society of Appraisers (ASA). He is also a member of the CFA Institute, Atlanta Society of Finance and Investment Professionals, Mensa and Intertel. He earned his MBA from Georgia State University and has a BBA in Banking & Finance from the University of Mississippi.
