Jim Campbell

Former Chief Accounting Officer – Google

Jim is a seasoned financial executive and a member of WilliamsMarston’s Strategic Advisory Board, where he provides strategic guidance to support the firm’s continued expansion across accounting, tax, valuation, and transaction advisory services for companies experiencing rapid growth and change.

He brings more than 40 years of experience in global finance leadership roles at Intel Semiconductor and Google/Alphabet, including two multiyear international assignments. Most recently, Jim served as Vice President, Corporate Controller, and Chief Accounting Officer at Google. In addition to his responsibilities as Corporate Controller, he also led the financial systems organization and a firmwide finance transformation, as well as the Enterprise Risk Management function and financial reporting for the “Other Bets” segment.

Jim’s expertise spans accounting and financial reporting, FP&A, operations support, systems and functional transformations, risk management, and audit. He has held national leadership roles in shaping accounting standards and best practices, including serving on the Emerging Issues Task Force (EITF) of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), the PCAOB’s Standing Advisory Group (SAG), and the executive committee of Financial Executives International’s Committee on Corporate Reporting (FEI-CCR).
