Manager – Accounting Advisory
Emily brings six years of accounting, financial reporting, and data analytics experience to WilliamsMarston. Since joining WilliamsMarston, Emily has assisted clients on a variety of technical topics, including derivative liabilities, equity financing, and lease accounting from both the lessee and lessor perspectives. Emily has served in an interim role as a lease accountant for embedded finance leases at a public biotech company, where she also assisted with operating leases, various accruals, and revenue recognition.
Prior to joining WilliamsMarston, Emily was a Senior Accountant at RWA Wealth Partners. At RWA she contributed to technical accounting matters including financial statement mapping and disclosures, equity compensation, capitalization of intangibles, and purchase accounting. She also managed the company-wide use of corporate credit cards, standardized and improved process efficiencies in numerous areas, and maintained several account reconciliations during the month-end close.
Prior to RWA, Emily spent four years in the audit practice of EY LLP in Boston, where she advised clients in the manufacturing, medical devices, and software industries on a variety of accounting matters including revenue recognition, process improvements, and SOX 404 implementation. She played a key role in serving a first-year audit client in the medical devices industry, and also implemented data analytics audit tools across numerous accounting areas for various clients.
Emily is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She holds both a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from Providence College, where she graduated summa cum laude from the Liberal Arts Honors Program.
