Chris brings more than 25 years of accounting, advisory and leadership experience to WilliamsMarston. Chris’ primary practice areas are mergers and acquisitions, financial planning and analysis and private equity services. He is a former partner and Southeast TAS/FDD Leader with BDO LLP and a former Senior Director in Deals at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP where he spent nine years including six years based in Europe (Sweden and the Netherlands). He began his public accounting career within Deloitte LLP’s audit practice while based in Dallas and New York. He has also worked in progressive corporate controller and FP&A roles earlier in his career.
Chris specializes in providing bespoke financial due diligence and pre/post-closing services to private equity sponsors, corporate clients and founders during their acquisitions, divestitures and recapitalizations. He covers a broad range of industries with a concentration in manufacturing, distribution, industrial products, consumer products and business services and has supported transactions in North America, Europe and Asia.
Chris intentionally focuses on the middle market, delivering value to either the buyer or the seller via price optimization, risk mitigation or identifying other financial considerations. He supports roll-ups of targets below $100 million and has executed on large cap domestic and cross-border entities valued as high as $10 billion. Chris also held a critical advisory role in the divestitures of healthy assets from the Lehman Brothers estate including Neuberger Berman, Trilantic Capital, Tenaya Capital, Liberty View Capital.
Chris is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Accounting from Texas A&M University.
