WilliamsMarston Announces Director and Manager Promotions

WilliamsMarston LLC (“WM”), a nationally recognized accounting consulting firm is pleased to announce the recent Director and Manager promotions of Emily Stevenson and Amanda Williams.

Amanda Williams, Manager Tax – Dallas, Texas

Ms. Williams joined WilliamsMarston from Sixth Street in Dallas, Texas, where she worked on portfolio accounting and valuations. She started her career in the Financial Services Tax practice at EY in San Francisco, CA, where she oversaw the preparation of various partnership tax filings and assisted asset management clients with tax technical issues. Her industry experience includes private equity, hedge funds, and venture capital.

Since joining WilliamsMarston, she has advised clients in the consumer products, healthcare and software industries. Ms. Williams has advised clients on financial reporting matters such as purchase price allocations, goodwill and intangible asset impairments, lease accounting, stock compensation, in addition to tax reporting matters such as 409A and gift and estate tax evaluations. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas and holds a Master in Professional Accounting and a Bachelor in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from The University of Texas at Austin.

Emily Stevenson, Director – Boston, Massachusetts

Ms. Stevenson joined WilliamsMarston from Deloitte LLP in Boston, where she served as a Senior Assistant in the Audit practice supporting companies primarily in the life sciences industry. While at Deloitte, she audited the adoption of the new lease accounting standard, ASC 842, at a large public life sciences company. Her experience also includes Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and employee benefit plan audits.

Since joining WilliamsMarston, Ms. Stevenson has assisted clients in the life sciences, biotechnology, software and technology industries on a variety of technical accounting matters including revenue recognition under ASC 606, purchase accounting, lease accounting, stock-based compensation and accounting for financial instruments such as convertible debt. She has also played a key role in audit preparedness, IPO readiness, due diligence and carve-out engagements. Additionally, she has served in an interim technical accounting management role for a public biotech company. Ms. Stevenson is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Mathematics from the College of the Holy Cross, where she graduated summa cum laude.
