WilliamsMarston LLC was founded in Boston in January 2014 by two former Big Four professionals, who believed that middle-market companies, their investors and lenders were underserved in the accounting advisory space. Initially working out of coffee shops and restaurants, the firm quickly landed projects helping a biotechnology company and a software company to prepare for their initial public offerings.
In May 2014, WilliamsMarston hired its first full-time employee and moved into a modest office. In 2016, the firm opened its New York office and appointed a New York leader. As the firm grew, its service offerings expanded into mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, private equity services, interim management, and restructuring. Today, WilliamsMarston has more than 35 professionals and serves more than 225 companies in a variety of industries including multinational public companies, market-leading private equity firms and many other growth companies.
Although the firm has established larger offices to accommodate its growing teams, our founders still fondly recall their first office and first few client wins, many of which remain loyal clients of the firm today.
