Nolan brings 8 years of accounting and financial reporting experience to WilliamsMarston. Since joining WilliamsMarston, he has advised clients on purchase accounting, the new leasing standard, SEC reporting, IPO readiness, audit preparedness and policies and procedures. Nolan has also assisted various clients in the life sciences industry with process improvement around the monthly close, including significant experience with research and development accruals and stock-based compensation. He has served in several interim management capacities, including controller roles for multibillion dollar public companies, as well as smaller private companies in the technology and biotech sectors.
Prior to WilliamsMarston, Nolan was a Senior Associate in the Assurance practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Boston where he primarily served clients in the software, technology and manufacturing industries. While at PwC, Nolan spent a significant amount of his time on the audit of one of the firm’s largest audit clients in the aerospace and defense industry. His experience includes matters pertaining to US GAAP and SEC reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, earnings per share, share-based compensation, goodwill and deferred taxes.
Nolan is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Accounting from the College of the Holy Cross, where he graduated cum laude.
