WilliamsMarston Announces 2024 Promotions

WilliamsMarston LLC (“WM”), a national leader in complex accounting, tax and valuation advisory services, is pleased to announce two Director and six Manager promotions effective January 1, 2024.

Director

Eric Giorgianni – Advisory; Boston

Mr. Giorgianni joined WilliamsMarston from PwC’s Assurance practice. Since joining WM, Eric has advised clients in the healthcare, software and life sciences industries on a variety of technical accounting matters including revenue recognition under ASC 606, complex financial instruments, the leasing standard and stock-based compensation. He has supported clients through several acquisitions and the initial public offering process. Eric has also served as an interim controller for public and private biotechnology companies assisting with audit preparedness and SEC reporting. Eric is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where he graduated summa cum laude.

Jay Taylor – Advisory; Boston

Mr. Taylor joined WilliamsMarston from RSM’s Audit practice. Since joining WM, Jay has supported clients in the life sciences, biotechnology, software, manufacturing and technology industries. He has experience advising clients on a variety of technical accounting matters including business combinations, preferred stock arrangements, stock-based compensation, convertible debt, revenue recognition, lease accounting, SEC reporting, debt and equity financings and a reverse merger transaction through a Special Purpose Acquisition Company (“SPAC”). Jay has served in an interim role for a public global manufacturing company, assisting with various technical accounting and SEC reporting matters. He has also served in an interim role for a private biotechnology company preparing for an initial public offering. Jay is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and holds a Master of Science in Accounting as well as a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Accounting from Boston College.

Manager

Jesse Castelli – Advisory; NYC

Mr. Castelli joined WilliamsMarston from EY’s Audit practice. Since joining WM, Jesse has assisted clients in the life sciences, technology, retail and insurance industries. He has advised clients on various technical accounting matters including revenue recognition under ASC 606, lease accounting under ASC 842, SEC reporting, audit preparedness and process improvement around the monthly close process. Jesse holds a Master of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Accounting from St. John’s University, where he was a student in the Accounting Scholars program.

Hannah Coffey – Advisory; Boston

Ms. Coffey joined WilliamsMarston from EY’s Audit practice. Since joining WM, she has advised clients in the biotechnology, life sciences and educational services industries on technical accounting matters including lease accounting under ASC 842, stock-based compensation, accounting for complex financial instruments including convertible debt, audit readiness, consolidation and financial reporting. She has also served in an interim accounting and finance role for a private telecommunications company assisting with consolidation and financial reporting, audit readiness and month-end closing processes. Hannah is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Management from the University of New Hampshire.

Jared Cohen – Advisory; NYC

Mr. Cohen joined WilliamsMarston from PwC’s Assurance practice. Since joining WM, Jared has advised clients on a variety of technical accounting matters including SEC reporting, business combinations, collaborative arrangements, pay vs. Performance, IPO readiness, stock-based compensation and preferred stock accounting. He has also served in an interim SEC reporting role for a public biotechnology company. Jared is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a concentration in Supply Chain Management from Binghamton University, where he graduated summa cum laude.

Sarah Mahoney – Advisory; Boston

Ms. Mahoney joined WilliamsMarston from PwC’s Assurance practice. Since joining WM, Sarah has assisted clients in the biotechnology, life sciences, retail, consumer products and manufacturing industries. She has advised on a variety of technical accounting matters including revenue recognition under ASC 606, lease accounting under ASC 842, stock-based compensation, business combinations, SEC reporting, integrations and FP&A. Sarah has also served in interim management roles for a variety of companies in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, media and technology industries. Sarah is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and holds a Master of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Economics from Boston College.

Rochelle Ragan – Advisory; NYC

Ms. Ragan joined WilliamsMarston from Deloitte’s Audit & Assurance practice. Since joining WM, Rochelle has assisted clients in the biotechnology, life sciences, food and beverage and technology industries. She has advised clients on various technical accounting matters including complex debt and equity financing transactions, business combinations, lease accounting and SEC reporting. Rochelle is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York and holds a Masters in Professional Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Washington in Seattle, where she majored in Accounting.

Mikaila Orofino – Tax; Southwest

Ms. Orofino joined WilliamsMarston from EY’s Tax practice. Since joining WM, Mikaila has advised clients in the biotechnology, life sciences, software, manufacturing, and professional services industries on a variety of matters including ASC 740, accounting for income taxes, including the preparation of the corporate income tax provision and the related financial statement disclosures, and income tax compliance. Mikaila has also served as an interim senior tax associate for a global professional services company. Mikaila is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and holds a Master of Science in Taxation degree and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with concentrations in Accounting and Applied Analytics from Bryant University.
