WilliamsMarston LLC Opens New York Office and Appoints Michael R. Donoso as New York Metro Market Leader

WilliamsMarston LLC today announced the opening of its New York office located at 375 Park Avenue, Suite 2607, New York, NY 10152 and the appointment of Michael R. Donoso as New York Metro Market Leader. With offices in Boston and New York, the firm specializes in accounting and reporting for complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings (IPOs), technical accounting, interim management, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance for public and pre-IPO companies. Landen Williams, Co-founder and Partner at WilliamsMarston, stated, “We are thrilled to announce the addition of Mr. Donoso as our New York Metro Market Leader. Mr. Donoso brings a wide range of accounting, tax and valuation advisory experience to WilliamsMarston LLC. Prior to joining WilliamsMarston, he was in the technical accounting group of a large, publicly traded pharmaceutical company in New Jersey. In that role, Mr. Donoso worked closely with the company’s senior leadership and external auditors on the accounting and reporting for a variety of complex transactions, including revenue recognition, business combinations, financial instruments, stock-based compensation and variable interest entities.

Prior to working in industry, Mr. Donoso was a Manager in KPMG’s New York Accounting Advisory practice. During his tenure with KPMG, Mr. Donoso advised Fortune 500 companies on accounting and reporting for a host of complex transactions, including revenue recognition, mergers and acquisitions, IPO readiness, restatements and consolidations. While at KPMG, he frequently advised clients on the latest developments at the FASB and SEC, including the anticipated impacts of new and evolving accounting standards.

Mr. Donoso’s industry experience includes pharmaceutical, biotechnology, retail, software, consumer products and manufacturing. He is a Certified Public Accountant in New York and New Jersey and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a dual degree in accounting and finance, and a Master of Professional Accountancy from West Virginia University.
