WilliamsMarston LLC today announced the promotions of Marcello Castellano and Gregory McKenzie to Managing Director. The firm also announced the promotions of Joseph Ballway, Christopher Cobb, and Hannah Leech to Manager. Marcello Castellano, Managing Director – Boston, MA
Mr. Castellano joined WilliamsMarston in 2016. Since joining WilliamsMarston, he has provided accounting advisory services to both corporate and private equity clients in numerous industries on projects including due diligence, purchase accounting, IPO Readiness, audit preparedness and technical accounting. Prior to WilliamsMarston, Mr. Castellano worked in PwC’s Transaction Services Practice where his clients included companies in the software, technology, healthcare, biotechnology, telecommunications, industrial products and consumer retail industries. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (inactive) and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
Gregory McKenzie, Managing Director – Boston, MA
Mr. McKenzie joined WilliamsMarston in 2016. Since joining WilliamsMarston, he has advised clients on a variety of operational challenges, including a cross-functional operational performance review for a large telecommunications business, post-merger integration for a global software company and a financial effectiveness assessment for a multi-location manufacturing company. Prior to WilliamsMarston, Mr. McKenzie was a Vice President in Global Business and Strategic Operations at Alcatel-Lucent. He has held senior roles in a number of prominent technology organizations, specializing in strategic planning, execution and organizational change. He is a qualified Accounting Technician in the UK and holds a Foundation Degree in Accounting from Oxford Brookes University.
Joseph Ballway, Manager – Boston, MA
Mr. Ballway joined WilliamsMarston in 2017 from PwC’s Assurance practice. Since joining WilliamsMarston, he has advised clients in the software and life sciences industries on a variety of complex accounting matters including revenue recognition, IPO readiness, SEC reporting, financial instruments, inventory, lease accounting and other complex accounting topics. While at PwC, Mr. Ballway specialized in the asset management industry. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the College of the Holy Cross as well as a Master of Science in Accounting and Business Administration from Northeastern University.
Christopher Cobb, Manager – Boston, MA
Mr. Cobb joined WilliamsMarston in 2017 from HarbourVest Partners, LLC. Since joining WilliamsMarston, he has advised clients in numerous industries on a variety of technical accounting matters including SEC reporting, foreign currency accounting, carve-outs, financial due diligence, SOX compliance and other complex accounting topics. Prior to HarbourVest Partners, LLC, Mr. Cobb worked in PwC’s Assurance practice focusing on clients in the hedge fund and private equity industries. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and holds a Master of Science in Accounting and Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting from Boston College.
Hannah Leech, Manager – Boston, MA
Ms. Leech joined WilliamsMarston in 2017 from TA Associates Management, L.P. Since joining WilliamsMarston, she has advised clients in the life sciences and technology industries on a variety of complex accounting matters including revenue recognition, purchase accounting, SEC reporting, carve-outs, and other complex transactions. Prior to TA Associates Management, L.P., Ms. Leech worked in Deloitte’s Assurance practice where she focused on public and private clients in the consumer finance, life-sciences, technology and insurance industries. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Quinnipiac University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.
