We’re excited to welcome Elysa Cohen, Nick Doran and Jake Monk to the team! Here is a closer look at each of our new hires in August and the expertise they bring to WilliamsMarston.
Elysa Cohen, Consultant – New York, NY
Elysa brings three years of accounting and financial reporting experience to WilliamsMarston LLC.
Prior to joining WilliamsMarston, Elysa was a Senior Associate in the Assurance practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in New York where she served both public and private clients in the technology and media industries. While at PwC, Elysa provided audit services pertaining to US GAAP, SEC Reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance. Her experience includes the technical accounting for ASC 606, restructuring, stock-based compensation and income taxes.
Elysa is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York and holds a Master of Science Degree in Accounting as well as a Bachelor of Science in Management with a concentration in Business Law from Tulane University.
Nick Doran, Consultant – New York, NY
Nick brings five years of accounting and financial reporting experience to WilliamsMarston.
Prior to WilliamsMarston, Nick was a Senior Associate in KPMG LLP’s Deal Advisory practice in New York where he provided financial due diligence services for private equity clients. Nick spent the first four years of his career in KPMG’s Audit practice in New York, focusing on public and private clients in the retail, technology and consumer goods industries. After joining the Deal Advisory practice, Nick primarily focused on buy-side financial due diligence for mergers and acquisitions. Nick’s client experience includes domestic and international private equity firms that focus in software and technology, consumer products and manufacturing.
Nick is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York and holds a Master of Science Degree in Accounting as well as a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from University at Buffalo.
Jake Monk, Consultant – Boston, MA
Jake brings four years of accounting and financial reporting experience to WilliamsMarston LLC.
Prior to WilliamsMarston, Jake worked in the Audit practice of EY LLP in Boston and Cambridge for 4 years where he served a range of clients from private start-ups to global large-accelerated filers, primarily in the life sciences industry. While at EY, Jake provided assurance services pertaining to US GAAP including ASC 606 and 842 adoption, SEC reporting, business combinations and restructuring activities and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Jake is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with a concentration in Accounting from Boston College.
