Michael brings 11 years of accounting and financial reporting experience to WilliamsMarston. His industry expertise spans private and public companies in the media, retail, technology, private equity, consumer and industrial products and healthcare industries. Since joining WilliamsMarston, Michael has advised clients on initial public offerings, special purpose acquisitions and various complex technical accounting matters including revenue recognition, lease accounting, inventory, business combinations, goodwill and intangible assets, film cost accounting under ASC 926, asset impairment, segment reporting, foreign currency, debt and equity financing, audit preparedness, SEC reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Michael has led clients through the conversion of cash basis to GAAP basis financial statements, as well as supported clients with process implementation and improvement and recurring financial analysis. Michael has also served in interim management roles for both public and private companies.
Prior to WilliamsMarston, Michael was a Manager in the Retail, Consumer and Industrial Products assurance practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Boston. While at PwC, his clients included various private and public companies with a focus on several of the firm’s largest retail clients. Michael provided assurance services pertaining to US GAAP, SEC reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance with extensive experience in inventory and cash flows.
Michael is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Accounting from the College of the Holy Cross, where he graduated summa cum laude.
