John brings over three years of accounting and financial reporting experience to WilliamsMarston. Since joining WilliamsMarston, John has supported clients in the biotechnology, software, virtual gaming, media and entertainment and consumer goods industries. He has advised clients on a variety of technical accounting matters including revenue recognition, collaborative agreements, lease accounting and SEC reporting. John has also supported clients through initial public offerings and special purpose acquisitions.
Prior to WilliamsMarston, John was a Senior Associate in the Audit practice at KPMG LLP in Boston where he served both private and publicly traded financial service companies. His client base included private equity, hedge and venture capital, banking and insurance. John has assisted in the implementation of the current expected credit loss standard (CECL) ASC 326 and the adoption of the new leasing standard ASC 842 on a number of mid-sized banks. He has provided assurance services pertaining to US GAAP, SEC reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
John is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accountancy from the University of Mississippi and a Master of Science in Accountancy from Babson College.
