Dave brings 30 years of financial consulting and executive management experience to WilliamsMarston LLC. Prior to WilliamsMarston, Dave was the Founder and Managing Partner of Chord Advisors, LLC, a boutique accounting advisory firm serving more than 400 pre-IPO, public and private equity-backed growth companies on a variety of technical accounting, SEC reporting and capital markets transactions. During his time at Chord Advisors, Dave also served as the interim Chief Financial Officer for a biotechnology company advising them through a period of significant growth and transformation until their eventual sale to a large public pharmaceutical company. His broad industry experience includes life sciences, technology, financial services, media and entertainment.

Prior to Chord Advisors, Dave was the Chief Financial Officer of Rodman & Renshaw Capital Group, Inc., a full-service investment bank dedicated to providing corporate finance, strategic advisory, sales and trading and related services to public and private companies across multiple sectors and regions. Dave was nominated by Sandler O’Neill Research in 2011 and 2010 as “Institutional Investor Magazine Top CFO – Brokers & Asset Managers”. Prior to Rodman & Renshaw, Dave was the Chief Accounting Officer at Jefferies Financial Group Inc., a full-service global investment bank. While at Jefferies, Dave led the global technical accounting, SEC reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley efforts.

Prior to Jefferies, Dave was a senior manager in KPMG LLP’s (“KPMG”) Department of Professional Practice (“National Office”) and KPMG’s Transaction Services practice. While at KPMG, Dave was one of fifteen professionals selected to a prestigious worldwide rotational assignment within KPMG’s National Office where he advised firm members regarding technical accounting, auditing and SEC filing inquiries for a variety of public and early-stage growth clients regarding mergers and acquisitions, consolidations, financial reporting, capital structure formation, stock-based compensation and other issues. During his tenure at KPMG, Dave was also a contributing author to KPMG’s “Defining the Digital Future: Business and Accounting Issues” published in November 2000.

Dave is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with a concentration in Accounting from CUNY Baruch College in New York where he graduated with honors.
