Craig Pouliot

Managing Director – Advisory

Craig brings over 20 years of financial planning, analysis and execution in the biotech, software, services, manufacturing and healthcare industries. He is a hands-on finance and accounting leader with a history of building the financial foundation for organizations, nurturing successful teams and restructuring organizations in demanding environments.

Prior to joining WilliamsMarston, Craig ran a boutique FP&A consulting firm where he was engaged by public and private company clients across a wide range of industries and business stages. Most recently, he was engaged by two private software and services companies to rebuild the planning, analysis, and reporting processes to support a bridge financing and Series D funding round. In this role, he enhanced the management and external reporting packages, forecast, and dashboard, driving shorter monthly close and forecast timelines.

Prior to this, Craig was engaged by two biotech companies (one public, one private) to support funding needs and build a more cohesive and dynamic financial model. In the private biotech role, he managed the creation of the initial series A funding model used for internal cash flow management and strategic scenario analysis. In the public biotech, Craig built the new financial model to support an acquisition and the commercialization of upcoming product lines.

Throughout his career, Craig has either led or contributed to financial functions with multiple stakeholders, whether it be executive management, private equity investors or the public markets. He has managed employees in various countries, led global cost reduction efforts, developed or revamped KPIs and drove efficient and effective finance functions to improve decision making and corporate performance. He is an expert across several FP&A and database platforms to model business performance and inform strategy.
Craig has held various internal senior-level finance roles of increasing scope and responsibility at public and private companies alike, including Vistaprint, GFI Software, Acronis and AspenTech. Craig started his career at Sharp Healthcare in San Diego.

Craig received his Bachelor of Science from Franklin Pierce University with a dual concentration in Accounting and Computer Science. Mr. Pouliot also attended San Diego State University’s MBA Entrepreneurship Program, representing SDSU as one of five graduate students at the Venture Capital Investment Competition (VCIC).
