Catherine brings 17 years of technical accounting and financial reporting experience to WilliamsMarston. Since joining WilliamsMarston Catherine has advised clients in the financial services, software, biotechnology, entertainment, and manufacturing industries on a variety of technical accounting matters including business combinations, disposals and discontinued operations, goodwill impairment, intangible and long-lived assets, consolidations, and the implementation of new accounting standards including ASC 842 – Leases.

Prior to WilliamsMarston, Catherine was the Head of Corporate M&A Accounting Policy at Citigroup (“Citi”), managing the team responsible for researching, documenting, and advising on the technical accounting for complex transactions, global functions, and areas of significant judgement. While at Citi, Catherine served as a trusted advisor to senior management on the accounting and SEC financial reporting for disposals, business combinations and asset acquisitions, transfers of financial assets, consolidation, intercompany transactions, leases, segment reporting, and impairment testing for goodwill, intangibles, and long-lived assets. Catherine led the firm’s implementation of ASC 842, Leases and assisted in the implementation of other standards including ASC 606, Revenue from Contracts with Customers, and ASC 326, Credit Losses (CECL). Catherine began her career in the Audit practice at KPMG LLP, first in Los Angeles and then New York, primarily serving companies in the financial services industry.

Catherine is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York and holds a Bachelor of Science from Pepperdine University, where she graduated magna cum laude.
