Prior to WilliamsMarston, Apostol was a Managing Director in the Deal practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in New York for over fifteen years. While at PwC, Apostol was a trusted deal advisor to the CFOs of large US and International corporations and to the deal teams at large and mid-size private equity firms providing strategic advice on diverse M&A transactions. He performed business and financial due diligence for transactions with enterprise value ranging from $6m to over $10bn, while coordinating with and leading various subject matter experts in data analytics, tax, purchase agreement negotiation, commercial due diligence, cybersecurity, HR, risk management, IT, operations, technical accounting, and valuations. Apostol’s industry experience includes consumer products, professional services, technology/software, industrial products, food & beverage, metals & commodities, aviation, casinos, pharmaceuticals, publishing, and retail in the US, Europe, South America, and Asia.
Apostol has significant experience with purchase agreements and purchase price adjustment mechanisms. While at PricewaterhouseCoopers, he gained proficiency within other practices including accounting advisory, bankruptcy, capital markets, purchase price disputes, and valuation on projects such as $15bn IPO, 13-week cash flow models, debt refinancing, review of PE portfolio companies’ valuation models.
Apostol is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York and hold a Masters in Business Administration from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting & Finance from Ithaca College graduating from both schools with honors.
