Dat brings more than seven years of accounting and financial reporting experience to WilliamsMarston. Since joining WilliamsMarston, Dat has advised clients in the biotechnology, technology, healthcare, digital marketing and professional services industries on the accounting and reporting for complex financial instruments, revenue recognition, lease accounting, functional currency and various other technical accounting matters. In addition, Dat has worked with numerous public and private equity portfolio companies assisting with process improvement, interim management, restructuring, audit readiness and financial reporting.
Prior to joining WilliamsMarston, Dat was a Senior Associate in Deloitte’s Audit and Enterprise Risk Assurance practice in Boston where he served public and private clients in the healthcare, payment processing and software industries. While at Deloitte, Dat provided audit and advisory services pertaining to US GAAP, SEC reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance with a focus on areas such as goodwill impairment, accounting for business combinations and revenue recognition.
Dat is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and holds a Master of Science degree in Accountancy as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and Finance from Suffolk University, where he graduated cum laude.
