Matt brings more than eight years of accounting and consulting experience to WilliamsMarston. Since joining WilliamsMarston, Matt has advised a variety of clients on technical accounting matters, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, purchase accounting and business process improvement. He has also assisted clients with post-merger integration and disclosure requirements.

Prior to WilliamsMarston, Matt worked as a Manager in the Financial Accounting Advisory Services group of EY LLP, where he assisted clients with various challenges concerning US GAAP technical accounting, financial and regulatory reporting, and internal control and governance. While at EY, Matt assisted in the preparation of the financial related content of securities prospectuses, including Article 11 pro forma financial statements, profit forecasts, capitalization and dilution exhibits, and management discussion and analysis. As part of his work in this space, he developed consolidation models in connection with the preparation of US GAAP financial statements and assisted clients with consolidation analysis. Matt also performed process and control assessments, identified gaps in organizations’ financial and regulatory reporting processes, and subsequently proposed tactical and strategic remediation plans to project accurate financial statements. Prior to EY, Matt worked in the assurance practice of KPMG LLP, where he worked with financial services clients.

Matt is a Certified Public Accountant in New York and holds a Master of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from Baruch College.
